Birthday Memories Birthday Card

This card featured one of the papers Birthday Memories DSP.  The little girl brings back memories from my childhood when my mum would get out her sewing machine and whip up a party dress.  Then I would wear it to church on Sunday!

Daisy Delight Thoughtful Card

Love the colour combo of Night of Navy, So Saffron and Lemon Lime Twist. The stamp set and co-ordinating punch is returning but the lovely dsp is on the retiring list.

Dapper Denim Balloon Celebration Birthday Card.

Very happy that this stamp set is not retiring but very sad that Dapper Denim is leaving the colour range!

The layout is simple and the new Blueberry Bushel 2018-2020 new In Colour will become a go to colour in place of Dapper Denim!

Flower Shop Card

This card was really popular with the CWA ladies.  I ran out of card kits.  It has been a favourite for a long time with the matching punch but it now finds itself on the retiring list! 

Lots of Lavender Card

This was a freebie stamp set after spending $90 during Sale-A-Bration.  I chose just to stamp the outline image from this stamp set use  Stampin' Up! and use  markers to fill in the image.  Colouring is a favourite with me and I wanted to remind everyone that markers are ideal for this project. No blending required just simple colouring.
I used the following markers to colour the image - Pear Pizzaz, Pool Party, Tempting Tourquoise, Rich Razzlebury, and Sweet Sugarplum.  Love the colour combo.  Wish they were all carrying over!
I will miss Sweet Sugarplum and Tempting Tourquoise. You have until 31st May or until available to stock up with retiring stock.

Petal Passion Card

This is the third card from the CWA Day.  This is not an original from me and apologies for not giving due credit as I made it from memory and can't recall details.
I love everything from the Petal Passion Suite.  So glad that it is carrying over to the new catalogue, but very disappointed that the DSP isn't.  So don't forget to stock up on it, if you love it too!
The card I am sharing today is another card from the CWA Day.  I saw this card, or something very similar somewhere and later made it  from memory, so apologies for not giving due credit to original creator.

Colour Revamp 2018 - Mint Macaron is Returning!

Stampin' Up! is revamping its colours!    In order to keep 'on trend' Stampin' Up! decided it was time to give the colour collection a makeover. There will still be four Colour Collections, each with 10 colours.  There will also be a new colour group called 'Basics'.  Some colours have changed colour collections and some colours are returning.
And I am thrilled to see that Mint Macaron is returning.  When this In-Colour went out of the collection, I stocked up on it and have it still in my collection.

This card was one of the eight cards made with my local CWA day last Saturday.

A big hello to all CWA Ladies. At the weekend, on Saturday, I spent the day with my local group. We all had a lovely day. I especially loved my lunch - a yummy casserole followed by scones with jam and cream.  I would also like to thank them for my lovely gift, a potted plant and home made preserves.
We were having such a fun and busy time, I didn’t think to take a photo of everyone. But here is a photo of the cards the ladies got to make.

More Cards using Painted with Love Speciality Designer Series Paper

Today's cards team the paper with Berry Burst card bases.  I haven't used Berry Burst much, can't say that it is a favourite  but it's complimentary to the colour scheme. I prefer the card on the left. Can't have enough bling!

I have had this paper for awhile now and I simply had to do something with it. It's too gorgeous to leave sitting on the shelf. Love the colour combo of Blushing Bride with Calypso Coral.

Waterfront Stamp Set - One scene with two layouts and some hints.

I am having lots of fun with this stamp set and I am afraid that I haven't the time at the moment to sit down and create various scenes.  I took some time off when we had a family holiday and I am still catching up.  I have quite a couple of stamp sets that I haven't even used yet! Very frustrating.
Getting back to this stamp set, I have found you do need to sit down and have a play with it to sort out the pieces and work out what each stamp could be used for.  Also, try to limit yourself to a few colours and stamp off to achieve different shades of colour or you could end up with a table covered with ink pads!  Also, if you want a more realistic water colour look, take out your Aqua Painter and brush each stamped section.  You can also fill in the sky and grass using the Aqua Painter. I used Shimmery White cardstock.  Further, don't saturate your work  with water.  Of course, if you used water colour paper it can hold more water.





Hope you like my scene.  I liked it so much I made it again but changed the layouts.

Floral Card using Sweet Soirée

Love the colour combination of this card - So Saffron, Calypso Coral and Lemon Lime Twist.
The shiny ribbon and rhinestones give that bit of bling to complete this card.
This card was inspired by this special celebration cake card that I have previously shared.









 I loved the colour combination of the flowers coloured on the cake and knew that I had use it again.

Sweet Soiree - Silver Wedding Cake Card

This is such an elegant card and so quick to make. On a piece of Whisper White cardstock (3 1/4 x 3 1/4") stamp the cake using Versa Mark ink and emboss with silver. Do the same with the 'celebrate' stamp. Adhere this layer to silver glimmer paper (3 1/2 x 3 1/2 ")
Take the sentiment from Better Together stamp set and stamp using Versa Mark and emboss with silver.  Adhere the cake layers with Dimensionals to a Whisper White  card base.  Lastly, tie a bow using1/4" Whisper White
Organza Ribbon and attach with a glue dot.
If you wish take the present stamp from the set and silver emboss the bottom left corner of envelope.

March Card Class

It  was another busy session.  Two stamp sets from the Occasions catalogue and one card kit from the Annual catalogue were used.
The first card used the Cake Soiree Bundle to create a speciality cake. The cake was white embossed  and coloured using inks and a blender pen before it was cut out with framelits and arranged on a silver cake tray which had also been cut using the co-ordinating framelits.  The other card used the Waterfront stamp set. This stamp set has 9 scene building stamps and 7 sentiment stamps.  "Every little Kindness makes the world brighter" was chosen for the card and popular with everyone.  Lots of fun was had by creating scenes - learning what each stamp piece was used for, learning how to make different shades of colour by stamping off and putting it all together to create a picture. We all ended up with inky fingers.
We finished up with selecting a card to make from the Soft Sayings Card Kit.

April Card Class - Perennial Birthday Project Kit

This month's class is a little different from my usual class.  Everyone is required to purchase the Perennial Birthday Project Kit from my online shop and book a spot for my April 18th Card Class.
I will provide the co-ordinating stamp set, inks and adhesives to complete the cards.
