Lighthearted Leaves Again

This is the second time that I am posting cards made from the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set.  I intended to make this post earlier but the heat had me confined to my family room, the only room with air conditioning.  My enthusiasm for stamping began to drain with the heat and due to the fact that I had to keep walking back and forth from my craft room.  There was always something I needed and forgotten.  Anyway there is now a short brake from the heat and I am taking the opportunity to share with you today, before taking a break over the main Christmas holiday period.

The first card was inspired by Kylie Bertucci and found on Pinterest.  I changed little except for the sentiment which came from the Endless Birthday Wishes. The stamped images were stamped with Versa Mark and embossed with white. The sentiment was stamped on Vellum with Versa Mark and embossed with black.

I continued my colouring theme with the remaining  four cards.  After stamping I used the used the White Chalk Marker to colour in with. This marker is filled with permanent chalk like ink, is single tipped and is acid free.  Also great to use in memory keeping with photo's.  Further, it is very reasonably priced at $6.

I love the colour scheme of this card. The base used Lost Lagoon, the layers used white, Night of Navy and the top layer repeated Lost Lagoon. The images were stamped with Night of Navy and coloured with the white chalk marker.
The sentiment was stamped with Night of Navy on a white flag shape. The sentiment came from Endless Birthday Wishes stamp set.

I definitely think the darker card bases help with the appeal of these cards. The card based used Elegant Eggplant, the layers used silver foil and white.  the top layer used Wisteria Wonder.  The image was stamped with Elegant Eggplant and coloured in with the white chalk marker.
the button had some silver thread threaded and knotted and adhered with a mini glue dot where the white twine crossed.

This card was inspired by Tracy May.  The colour scheme used Mint Macaron and white.  I only changed the sentiment. The sentiment came from Watercolor Wings.

This was my own creation using the Mint Macaron colour scheme. I like the simpleness of this card.  The sentiment came from Tiny Tiny Sentiments stamp set.
I loved the stamped leaves in a row.  I was going to finish it with a band of ribbon at the bottom with a tied  bow. I only had wide ribbon and it overpowered the card so was left  off.  But in the end I quite liked the plainess.

I did intend to make more cards with this stamp set but as said earlier I wilted in the heat. I had thoughts of embossing and sponging but they may eventuate in a later post.
