Flowering Fields - Watercolour with Emboss Resist 1

Over the Easter break I played around with using watercolour with the Flowering Fields stamp set.

The flowers were stamped with Versa Mark and heat embossed with white powder on watercolour paper.  The ink was applied using an Aqua Painter.
The flowers were painted with Crushed Curry ink and the stems were painted with Old Olive.
The background was washed with both inks and a splash of Pool Party.

Tip - with this kind of stamped image there is no real colouring. Just trace over the image using the Aqua Painter loaded with the ink and allow the ink  to run over the sides of the embossing.

The cardbase used Whisper White cardstock.
The decorative layer used Wildflower Fields DSP.
The watercolour image was matted with black.
White Bakers Twine and a button finished it off.

This card will be one of the cards made during my April Card Classes.
I made four more cards using this technique and featuring Flowering Fields stamp set. I look forward to sharing them with you.
